With 139,000 copies sold in its first week, Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise secured the number one spot on Billboard’s top 200 chart. The highest selling week of his career, this marks this first time Big Sean has sold over 100,000 in a project’s first week and the first time Big Sean has been at the number one spot.

Sean kept up the momentum after the release of the album by dropping the video for “Blessings” featuring Drake and Kanye West. It was also announced that he will be joining J Cole on his 2014 Forest Hills Drive Tour and he also joined the likes of Vic Mensa, Wu Tang Clan, Raekwon, and Cyhi The Prynce on stage at Kanye’s surprise show in London last night. We shall see if he maintains the hype by dropping a video for the mega-single “All Your Fault” in the near future.
