Rising Berkeley, CA artist Caleborate just premiered his 12-track Hella Good project via Pigeons and Planes, who also named him 1 of 14 “Bay Area Hip-Hop Artists To Watch For In 2014.” Caleborate triumphantly begins the project with the soulful, “From The Eastbay With Love,” as he tells some of his story and remains hopeful for the future.

Appropriately, one of the Bay’s finest gave Caleborate his stamp of approval today:

Caleborate is surely someone to keep your eyes on. With an optimistic approach, an occasional Sallie Mae reference (slightly reminiscent to J. Cole), and an ear for that organic Hip-hop production, the young California native is positioning himself to take over sooner than later. “You think that’ll get me on the radio?/ It sound ignorant enough, don’t it?/ It sound like some sh** n***** will tweet right after they talk about how Black lives are important,” Caleborate spits.

Needless to say, Caleborate has delived an LP that is truly a “Hella Good” experience. Enjoy above, and make sure you give Caleborate a follow on Twitter!
