This past week Rock Hill native Chris Buxton was busy releasing a new single called “Caught Up” that flew right under the radar and may just be the song of the summer that you haven’t heard yet.
Joining him, is another up and coming artist from Minnesota named Trev who ends up delivering an infectious yet melodic verse that goes hand and hand with the story that Buxton tells.
Leading into his untitled new project, Chris Buxton was starting to make some serious noise pre-covid-19 from opening for Diplo at Grave Diggers Ball to headlining his first show in Charlotte, NC. On top of that, Buxton brought the noise with his last project Love Me While I’m Here which establishes the young artist sonically in a new direction of Alternative music with Hip-hop and pop undertones.
Without a release date yet determined for his new music, Buxton spoke on why he thought it was important to release “Caught Up” in such an uncertain time.
“This song is one for the summer. I just wanted to make something to make people happy during a time where we are focused on so many things. I wanted this to be something where we think about the good times and good people in our lives”
