New Sick Music are proud to premiere some extremely fresh visuals out of London, England. “Home” is a hometown-honoring track from 17 year old South London emcee and producer DC Scribbla. DC’s unique flow and style, alongside his impressive work rate and back catalogue, have had all the blogs lit for a while now, with tracks such as “Glowing” and its accompanying video drawing extensive underground acclaim.
With collaborative direction from himself (you should already be able to tell this guy’s ridiculously on point for a seventeen year old) and EAZYVISUALS, “Home” takes us deep into South London’s Battersea, preaching the virtues of sipping KA, racing around on pedal bikes and kicking ball in housing estate football cages.
Acting as an interesting piece of social commentary as well as a wavey track, DC masterfully rhymes about what life was like growing up South of the river. Included is an appropriate interlude featuring a news cast commenting on the social effects of the Metropolitan Police’s often predatory and unfair stop and search policies.
DC is somewhat of a prodigy at 17 years old, harnessing a unique sound that is beyond his years, and we are very excited to see what this up and coming artist has for us in 2016!
“Home” is a cut from DC Scribbla’s summer release Popular Season (which was almost entirely self-produced!)
