Knock, knock, knock, and a chorus of voices welcome you to the haunting electronic halls constructed by Ella On The Run. No, forget halls. We’re talking corridors. There’s something bigger than at first it seems in the layers of “Cavalry”. Perhaps it’s the hypnotic beat, or the roll of vocals, at once sweet and sour. Whatever it is, it sinks hooks right in and refuses to let go.
The London-based artist studied music at the Berklee College of Music and has the skills to show for it. Already carving out a name for herself with the help of BBC Introducing and The Huffington Post, Ella On The Run is about to be a key player in the future of synth pop. Recently, she’s been gaining recognition with a nomination in the Best Unsigned Female Artist category in the Best of British’s 2015 Unsigned Music Awards.
