Chance The Rapper and Skrillex hop on a remix of Hundred Waters‘ “Show Me Love.” Hundred Waters is an experimental indie pop group out of Florida that is actually signed to Skrillex’s OWSLA label. The group has garnered critical acclaim with the release of a pair of projects – Hundred Waters and The Moon Rang Like a Bell – since 2011. Originally released in 2014, the remix of “Show Me Love” is sure to attract a second wave of popularity with names like Chance The Rapper and Skrillex attached to the track. Hundred Waters have certainly done enough to earn our attention, but it would be nice to see this collab draw in even more ears.
The latest incarnation of “Show Me Love” is a beautiful mesh of genres, varying from pop, to electronic, to hip-hop. Skrillex shows off some versatility here with a calmer, more subdued interpretation of the single than what we’ve grown accustomed to. Meanwhile, Chance The Rapper finds himself featured on yet another 2016 track, maintaining his usual quality with a “Love Sosa” flow on the song’s second verse. “Coast is Clear” demonstrated that the Skrillex x Chance combo is one we didn’t know we needed and “Show Me Love (Remix)” reaffirms this belief.
