Every once in a blue moon, a song comes along that is able to stir much so much emotion inside you as a listener that you forgot how visceral music can truly be.
The 25-year-old wordsmith and philosophy graduate has managed to combine his love of words and music to inspire people to break free from their own limitations. Joshua’s self-produced debut EP landed in the top 10 of the UK and International Itunes charts.
Joshua Luke Smith is able to bring outsiders into his world. During “Carry Me,” while Smith raps in front of the lens, the scenes flash back between two settings- one of a worried mother and one of a young Smith straying from the good behaviors he was once taught.
Although dyslexic and dyspraxic, Joshua has never let the conditions hold him back. He has a degree in Philosophy and amazingly has never written down a single line of his songs. He is passionate about encouraging others not to let any ‘limitations’ hold them back.
Produced and directed by Of Dust and Stars (Ofdustandstars.com), Carry Me is a song about ‘coming home’. Let us know what you think about ‘Carry Me,’ below.
