NewSickMusic are excited to present new track “The Gaffer” from 22 year old East London artist Rageouz. Deriving early influence from Grime pioneers such as Dizzee Rascal, Crazy Titch, Wiley and Kano, Rageouz has been writing lyrics from the age of ten years old after being directly inspired by Dizzee’s classic album Boy In Da Corner.
Speaking to NSM about new track, Rageouz says:
“The Gaffer is a good representation of where I feel I am at now mentally. I describe how determined I am and also how free I feel, but it is also just something I had fun with. As my last release of the year, I feel it also summarises how I feel about my year as a whole. I think things have become a lot clearer now, and my words demonstrate that. I’m working on an EP for a release within the first few months of next year. I’m also working on a lot of other material – some more for the listeners.”
