The genre of Hip-Hop has long been used as an outlet for artists looking to vent and share their struggles, hoping to help others along the way.
However, one topic that tends to be overlooked in this collective is mental illness.
Picking up on this, New York duo Undeniable is bringing awareness to illness, addiction and overall struggles in their brand new short film and single, “Giving Up”.
Directed by Undeniable and Sketch Lukas, the video depicts the group and a few others in AA/NA meeting filled with comedic relief. Eventually, they get into the seriousness of the song, which can be considered an anthem for those looking for hope.
Producers S’pply N D’Mand lay down a chill beat that’s just asking to be flowed on, and Undeniable, along with featured artist Elijah Miguel, deliver.
