Pell – “Patience”

One of the hardest working, most overlooked artists in hip-hop and r&b, Pell has consistently had a steady stream of music throughout his run — and that doesn’t change with the London On Da Track-assisted “Patience.”

Pell has often had a knack for hooks. His smooth, velvety vocals give his music a soulful affection, and his ability to effortlessly weave in and out of his rapping and singing gives Pell a wide range of musical choices. These strengths shine bright on this new track.

A delightful pop/r&b crossover, “Patience” tells the tale of a man waiting on a woman to give him that “FaceTime, I ain’t talkin’ conversations.” Simple yet effective, “Patience” rests heavily on its infectious hook: “You’ve been workin’ all day, let me ease you out the stress/ I ain’t trying to hold you down, I’m just trying to have a side of conversation.”
