Review: Christian Rose & Stickz Greenz “Sad”

Those who have been following things at NewSickMusic know that over the last 6 months, Christian Rose has become one of our favorite artists. He has an ability to write songs in such a descriptive way, that listeners feel the pain he is expressing. Every song on his SoundCloud is a great listen. We first heard Christian Rose link up with Stickz Greenz for their collaboration, “The Man Who Stole the World.” Well the two are back together for their collaborative EP, “Sad.”

Upon first listen of “Sad,” I was instantly drawn into the project. After a few more listens, that feeling has not changed in the slightest bit. It is a really strong effort from both Rose and Greenz, and is something I highly suggest listening to. With Greenz raps, and Rose’s singing this project is a dynamic effort. The lyrics are genius, and leave you feeling what the artists themselves are feeling and that is one of the best things that music can do.

“Luck” stands out, falling somewhere between being an R&B song and a Rap one. It’s upbeat, but still leaves you feeling a type of way. Picking a favorite song is a difficult task, so I urge you to just listen to the whole project. “Sad” is a really solid release from both Christian Rose & Stickz Greenz.
