Grime is the genre that everyone is finally talking about. Starting on the gritty streets and council estates of East London in the early 2000s, the genre has taken off in the past year and is being listened to and praised globally.
This week, oldschool Grime veterans and pioneers Skepta, Bashy and Kano linked up for a new rare track that brings the three together for the first time in many years. Retrospective track “Can’t See Me Again” features production from Nana Rogues and was featured on UK label Alwayz Recording‘s newest mixtape Concrete Jungle, which features over fifty UK artists on its sixteen tracks, including the likes of Wretch 32, Devlin, Youngs Teflon, Swiss, Sneakbo plus many more influential UK heads!
“It’s a long time since I’ve linked up with my brothers Skepta and Kano, we come from the original school of grime and it’s always a pleasure to be able to get back to the roots of where we came from. ‘Can’t See Me Again’ not only gave me the opportunity to do that but also look at where we’ve all got to at this point in time in our music.”
