When Pigeons and Planes premiered Solomon Da God’s song “ICEGAF” earlier this year, the rapper from Palm Beach, Florida told the publication that the song was inspired by not caring what people think of him—and by dropping a lot of acid. Now, the unforgettable track appears on the rapper’s newest EP, “Where it All Started.” The six trance-inducing songs on this EP seem to have the same sentiment behind them as “ICEGAF”—which stands for “I can’t even give a fuck.” Repetitive choruses and dark, in-your-face beats give the project a trap music feel that is psychedelic at the same time. The EP’s artwork—Solomon Da God giving the middle finger—further drives home the theme of the EP. Despite this, these songs don’t isolate fans or come after anyone in particular. This EP is about Solomon Da God’s perception of himself and his journey through a world of drugs, music and haters. “Where it All Started” is available on iTunes.
