Up-and-coming Chicago rapper Taylor Bennett teased fans this week with a video for “Happy Place,” a song on his forthcoming project, BroadShoulders. Taylor sips his red solo cup while eyeing a pretty girl at the house party that he’s attending, all while rapping into the camera. It’s easy to tell that Taylor and his homies had fun making this video as they bust move after move on the dance floor. Taylor’s playful flow bounces to the beat, much like fellow Chicago rap star Chance the Rapper (in his Acid Rap days, at least). Brill’s smooth singing balances out Taylor’s jumpy rapping style and gives the track some R&B flair. The cleanly edited video is more than enough to get Taylor fans hype for the release of BroadShoulders in November.
