Rock-royalty collective The Dead Daisies are back with another track that evokes both life and death, while always promoting the potential of individuality. Big and heavy guitar riffs open “Dead and Gone”, while the vocals are perfectly rooted in the power of classic rock. “I just want to live my life, live the life I choose,” John Corabi sings, and the lyrics resonate with the force of the music that underscores them.
But, in the larger-than-life way that we have come to expect from the Dead Daisies, the video adds a supernatural layer. With the help of sci-fi and horror award-winning writer and director Tony E. Valenzuela, the video festers with the undead. We move between images of the band to images of zombies, yellowing and oozing their deadly vibes all across the effected footage. For a song that implores you to live your best life, the undead clip reinforces the fact that we only, really have one life to live.
“Dead and Gone” comes from The Dead Daisies’ latest album, Burn it Down, and the band are currently on extensive tour across America. You won’t want to miss this energy live, so find out if they’ll be near you by checking out their website and Facebook page. You can also follow the band on Twitter.
