It’s Sunday afternoon in America, and whether you’re battling a hangover, still trying to find Dan, or getting your religion on, some new music is an essential part of your descent back to reality. Luckily for us, The Districts have released a new demo of a track titled, “Fat Kiddo.” The song is the first to be released since their recent success with A Flourish and Spoil, and the band had the following to say about the new track.
“Between shows and flights and tours, I’ve been putting thoughts into new songs. It feels like we’ve been on tour nonstop, which we kind of have, but it’s been a good while since we’ve played the US, and we’re anxious to play some of our favorite cities again. Here’s one of those new songs until we’re back in your town.”
It’s amazing that the boys from Philly are still dropping new songs between all the shows they’ve been putting on: both in the States, and around the world. What’s even more impressive, is the quality of the song itself. “Fat Kiddo” is beautiful both instrumentally and lyrically; despite it’s demo status. Be sure to check out what else The Districts have in store from their Facebook, Soundcloud, or Twitter, and be sure to peep their newly released Fall tour dates below for a town near you. Good luck finding Dan.
