Them Guns – “Fireworks” (Music Video)

Rhythmic repetition and jolting through lines are the name of the game in “Fireworks”, the latest clip from Santa Cruz rockers Them Guns. All grit with synth-heaviness, ringing guitars, and a smash of cymbals have this track standing out, but it’s the pulsing hooks that will have you coming back for more.

“Fireworks” comes off Them Guns’ most recent record, From the Shadows, which was released on February 22nd. The clip for the song is as edged-out as the music, with close-up time-warped footage of the band giving it their all. With Them Guns, it is all energy, all the time.

When the camera isn’t focused on the band members — occasionally with tape over their faces for an intensely haunting look — it brings us street pyrotechnics in high saturation, an apt visualization of the track’s primary metaphor. Here, distortion and intensity reign. It’s a taste of what’s to be found on From the Shadows.

To keep up with Them Guns, you can find the band on their website, SoundCloud, and Facebook page. You can also follow them on Twitter
