Just because something is old school doesn’t mean it’s not exciting. This is something Denver, Colorado’s Two Faces West knows well.
Buzzing guitar lines and snapping cymbals kick off “Brand New Suit” as Two Faces West bring blues together with rock and roll for a high-energy romp. With all the too-cool vibes that the lyrics demand, the tone matches the subject matter with consistency. “I’m walking down the street, gonna get that money, gonna close a deal, in my brand new suit,” Kurt Ashmore repeats.
But the track becomes truly electric when the pace shifts and the guitar starts revving out solos. The spotlight shifts between the vocals and guitar for balance that works, but that no one would call delicate.
