Since our post about Vintage Lee’s debut track, the Boston artist has slowly but surely gained traction in the hip-hop world. Her energetic flow and don’t-give-a-f*ck attitude has earned her a dedicated fanbase, and her raw sound is filled with promise. She’s one to watch.
Vintage Lee’s second release, “Hennythings Possible,” builds on the sound she introduced in “Right Now” to create an original, banger-worthy track. Lee raps about her wide variety of interests and her life in Roxbury with the ease of an artist beyond her years. The Tee-WaTT produced beat is filled with striking piano notes that give her lines a somewhat ominous feel. The resulting song is a mesh of party music, a piercing beat, and solid bars.
At several points throughout the song, Lee raps “I’m not your regular degular.” If this song is any indication of what is to come from the Roxbury MC, it seems that this line rings particularly true.
