Watch Ad-Rock Make a Sandwich For Charity

I was hungry before I watched this video. Now I’m borderline desperate for a sandwich. If you live near or have plans of going to New York City anytime soon, look into the “Ad Rock Pang”. Not only are the profits of the sandwich going to charity, but you could tell me all about it so I could live vicariously through you. But go quickly, the sandwich is only available until April 15th, 2015.

But enough of my hunger. The sandwich is being sold at Num Pang in New York, a restaurant co-owned by long-time Beastie Boys fan Ben Daitz who also has a history with Adam Horovitz (that’d be the real name of Ad-Rock, of course). The sandwich features pastrami, cilantro, pickled carrots, and a chili Russian dressing, according to Rollingstone.com.

Horovitz and Daitz initially bonded over their love of dogs, so the profits of the sandwich go to the Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition and Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue.

Last week, Beastie Boys’ record Licensed to Ill was certified diamond and you can read about that right here on New Sick Music.
