White Reaper are bringing a straight-forward rock and roll sound to an increasingly complicated world. With a bouncing cadence and a heated solo, it would be easy to say that the guitar steals the show on “Judy French” — the lead single from White Reaper’s sophomore album, The World’s Best American Band — but next to Tony Esposito’s heavy-yet-soaring vocals and the keys that give the song depth, it’s hard to pinpoint one strength.
The video for the clip features Alexandra Daddario (“Baywatch”, “True Detective”) as, well, all of White Reaper. While the band are present in their video (the aesthetic of which matches the tone of the song: classic and not overly complicated) Daddario is clearly the show-stealer here. American flag imagery reinforces the album name and by the end you feel as though you’ve just experienced the World’s Best American Band in their prime. A confident video for a confident band.
