Wu-Tang Clan Now Have Their Own Beer

The Wu have been around for a while, and in that time we’ve seen all forms of Clan-inspired merchandise, from cheesy T-shirts to socks to even nun-chucks –  there’s all sorts out there.

Things have now officially been taken to the next level, however, with the Staten-Island team now having their own official beer crafted after them. Philadelphia beer brewers Dock Street Brewing Co. have begun work on the golden saison beer, which will be aptly named “Dock Street Beer Ain’t Nuthin’ To Funk With“. The beer will have a “spicy pineapple and orange-tart flavour”, and is currently in the process of being aged for six months while tracks from the crew’s Spotify page play alongside the barrel.

Speaking to Philly Mag, Head Brewer Vince Desrosiers said of the beer:

“I listen to music every day in the brewery and I’ve wanted to do a series of beers based on the music I like. It’s hardly an original thought but my musical taste is all over the place and Wu-Tang seemed like a great place to start.”

He then continued to say that that he believes the bass vibrations will “cause enough vibration to move the yeast around and create some different flavors during fermentation”, and tweeted (if this actually works out) that his next beer would be inspired by Run The Jewels.

We look forward to drinking it!
