Les Techno’s “Flowers for Dystopia (Objects)” is a theme for the current age

With a strong funk hook and effected vocals that call back to the New Wave era, Les Techno’s “Flowers for Dystopia (Objects)” has enough bite to catch you and enough atmosphere to keep you inside the experience.

“Flowers for Dystopia (Objects)” is electronically raw. Layered beats and an impassioned vocal performance keep the song grounded as the wash of the guitar floats away. The New York based artist’s quarantine creativity pairs distance with an underlying optimism. Aptly, Les Techno sings, “Don’t let me go / I’ll be strong / We’ll be strong together”.

In many ways, life currently feels dystopian. “Flowers for Dystopia (Objects)” is an anthem of the times — and one that lacks no unwieldiness nor future-thinking that any track about the current age demands.
