RSC embrace the mystery on single “Shadow Lady”

Music has no borders — and if it did — nostalgic rock and roll would push its way past them. The members of RSC (RedScool) understand this with clarity. With members in Europe, Russia, and North America, RSC have a unique and global sound.

Their track “Shadow Lady” is grandness at an international scale with enough old school hooks to wrap around you. A rhythmic and slightly industrial intro gives way to a sawing guitar with a melodic hum. Every effect is well chosen and placed to create a moodiness and grit to the band’s brand of longing.

The lyrics are ghostly, describing the allure of a mysterious woman. “She wants to come get crazy with me,” sings Chris Hodges, and it doesn’t sound like he minds. Spooky imagery surrounds more than just this woman, however, as Hodges also describes the “midnight dreams full of midnight screams” to really set the mood.

There is an old school love of rock in the almost five-minute long track, and in all that RSC create. To hear more from the band, you can find them on their Spotify and Facebook page. You can also follow the band on Twitter for more music and news.
